APSM™ Testing
The Associate Professional in Supply Management™ (APSM™) qualification allows active ISM student members to take control of their career development. During the beginning of a supply chain career, an APSM certification can help students stand out from the professional competition.
Ideal for those with one to two years left in their academic career, the APSM certification—which is valid for five years—gives individuals the first step toward achieving the globally recognized gold standard Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) certification, which requires at least three years of professional experience.
The APSM emphasizes the major competencies of supply management including:
- Sourcing
- Category Management
- Negotiation
- Legal and Contractual
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Financial Analysis
APSM™ Program Requirements
- Must be an active ISM student member
- Pass the CPSM® Core Exam
Scheduling
Before scheduling your exam appointment, you must register for the exam with ISM. Log in to your ISM account at ismworld.org, navigate to the APSM page , and select “Get Started” or contact ISM’s Customer Service Department at 1-480-752-6276 and choose option 8. Note: it may take up to 24 hours from the time of purchase to be able to schedule your exam appointment.
Scheduled and rescheduled examinations will be confirmed by email. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours of the rescheduled appointment, please contact Pearson VUE.
Reschedules and cancellations must be completed 24-hours prior to avoid forfeiting your exam fees. Pearson VUE will charge a fee for any appointment that is cancelled or rescheduled 48-hours prior to the scheduled testing time. This fee is paid directly to Pearson VUE.
Retake Policy
You must wait a minimum of 30 days to retake an exam.
