Test center tiers
The needs of most testing programs are ably met by authorized Pearson VUE Test Centers (PVTCs). In addition to our PVTCs, we have two other center types, described below.
- Pearson Professional Center (PPC) – Owned and operated by Pearson VUE, PPCs feature the testing industry’s highest level of security, advanced surveillance and patented facility design.
- Pearson VUE Test Center Select – Independently owned and operated in more than 100 countries, Select test centers boast enhanced identity verification and surveillance technology.
At present, we accept applications for PVTCs only. Select test centers are typically identified via an evaluation and selection process. PVTCs cannot currently apply to become a Select test center, though they may be invited to consider upgrading. As wholly-owned assets of Pearson VUE, PPC standards are proprietary, and these facilities have no external application criteria or process.
