The Certified Counter-Insider Threat Professional (CCITP) Program currently has two certifications:

  • CCITP – Fundamentals (CCITP-F)
    • Target population: individuals working in an Insider Threat program/hub.
  • CCITP – Analysis (CCITP-A)
    • Target population: individuals who contribute to an Insider Threat program/hub’s analytic capability.

The CCITP-F and CCITP-A Certifications are designed to measure and assess whether an individual has the requisite knowledge and skills as identified by the Counter-Insider Threat (C-InT) Community. Eligibility Requirements

The Eligibility and Pre-Requisite requirements for the Fundamentals (CCITP-F) certification are as follows:

  • Candidates must be current Hub/Program or Affiliated Personnel Only
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months experience working in/with a C-InT Hub/Program
  • Candidates must complete a minimum of 10 hours of C-InT related training
  • Candidates must receive Program Manager/Hub Chief Approval

The Eligibility and Pre-Requisite requirements for the Analysis (CCITP-A) certification are as follows:

  • Candidates must currently hold the CCITP-F Credential
  • Candidates must be current Hub/Program Personnel
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months working in a C-InT Hub/Program
  • Candidates must complete a minimum of 40 hours of Analysis-related training
  • Candidates must complete a minimum of 8 hours of User Activity Monitoring (UAM) policy and/or tool-related training
  • Candidates must review at least 10 Case Studies
  • Candidates must receive Program Manager/Hub Chief Approval

CCITP Registration Process

Candidates interested in taking either CCITP certification exam must first register online (rolling registration) via the following link https://cint-gsx.learningbuilder.com. Candidates will be required to create an account within the candidate management system and complete of a series of demographic questions. After completing the demographic questions, candidates will have to answer a series of questions demonstrating how they have met both the eligibility and pre-requisite requirements in order to proceed. Prepare for the CCITP Exams

Candidates are encouraged to review the information provided for each of the knowledge domains covered in their respective EBKs (Essential Body of Knowledge) for the certification they are considering. Each EBK contains a listing of the knowledge areas a practitioner within the C-InT workforce is expected to possess. The EBKs are located on our website (https://dodcertpmo.defense.gov/Counter-Insider-Threat/Resource-Documents).

The Day of the Assessment

Please be prepared to show two forms of original, valid IDs. No photocopies or expired IDs will be accepted. One form must be a primary ID (government issued with name, recent recognizable photo, and signature. Examples include: Passport or Driver’s License). The secondary ID must contain at a minimum, a name and signature, or name and recent recognizable photo.

Reschedule/Cancellation Policy

If you wish to reschedule or cancel your exam, you must log into your candidate profile https://cint-gsx.learningbuilder.com/ and follow the directions provided below. YOU MUST CANCEL/RESCHEDULE YOUR EXAM AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT. Failure to do so will result in a No-Show status. Please see the No Show Policy for more information.

How To Cancel/Reschedule your scheduled C-Int Exam:
1. Click "My Cycle".
2. Click “Continue Registration”.
3. Click “Return to Pearson Vue”.
4. Click the C-Int Certification hyperlink located in the “Upcoming Appointments” section.
5. Click either “Cancel” or “Reschedule”.
6. Confirm your cancelled/rescheduled C-Int exam

No Show Policy
If you do not cancel or reschedule your confirmed exam appointment at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled exam appointment and do not show for the scheduled exam, the USG will still be charged an exam seat fee as if you sat for the exam. Therefore, please make every effort to make your scheduled exam or reschedule in time to meet the Pearson VUE deadline. If you are a no-show for 2 exam iterations, you will not be able to participate in the CCITP Program. You may appeal by submitting a waiver request explaining why you were unable to make the scheduled exam session.
