The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) offers approved candidate the opportunity to earn the Certified in Plumbing Design and Certified Plumbing Design Technician designations. The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) is the international organization for professionals skilled in the design, specification and inspection of plumbing systems. ASPE is dedicated to the advancement of the science of plumbing engineering, to the professional growth and advancement of its member and the health, welfare and safety of the public.

Non-Disclosure Agreement

You will be required to affirm that you have read and accept the terms of the ASPE Non-Disclosure Agreement onscreen prior before beginning your exam. The agreement reads: “I will not disclose or provide to anyone orally, electronically, or in any other format, information about the content of this examination. I understand that all documents and examination questions are, and shall remain, the exclusive property of ASPE.” If you do not accept these terms, then you will not be allowed to take the exam.

Application Information

Prior to scheduling an examination appointment, you must have already:

  1. Registered with the ASPE to take the exam.
  2. Although you may take the CPD and CPDT exams without becoming a member of the ASPE, membership allows for discounts on examination fees. Consider applying for membership prior to scheduling your exam by visiting the ASPE website first at https://aspe.org/

Scheduling

ASPE will notify the candidate after the registration has been processed, which normally takes 1-2 days, of their eligibility status. When a candidate is approved to test, then s/he will be sent an authorization e-mail which will include your candidate ID. You will need to schedule your exam at least 72 hours in advance and, should you wish to cancel or reschedule, you must contact Pearson VUE no less than 72 hours in advance.
